Denise Alma Jentges, age 53 of Mankato, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 31, 2010 due to complications from a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Holy Rosary Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are requested to be sent to the MS Society. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Denise was born on December 4, 1956 to Milton and Shirley Clark in Mankato. She was a 1975 graduate of Mankato East High School and attended Mankato State University. Denise married Brian Jentges in Mankato on September 24, 1982. The couple later divorced in 2001. Denise worked for Hickory Tech from 1977 through 1996, at which time she became totally disabled and could no longer work. Denise was a member and CCD teacher at Holy Rosary Parish. She loved arts and crafts, playing cards, and board games, with family and friends, horseback riding, camping and the outdoors.

Denise is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Leon) Murray of Good Thunder; a granddaughter, Laela Murray and also an expected grandchild; step-grandchildren, Isaac Murray and Emily Henrickson; parents, Milton and Shirley Clark of Mesa, AZ; three sisters, Sherry Oachs of Eagle Lake, Debra (Craig) Anderson of Mankato, Dawn (Greg) Torkelson of St. Clair; one brother, Micheal Clark; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
