Effie G. Rudenick, age 97, of Mankato, died on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Seminary Home in Red Wing.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Donohue Sarff officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Garden City Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Red Wing Home Health and Hospice.

Effie was born on January 23, 1916 to George and Cora Sharp in Sterling Township. She lived most of her life in and around Mankato. She spent the last seven years in Red Wing.

Effie is survived by her two daughters, Ronda (Joe) Dube of Red Wing and Glenda (Bob) Runck of Springfield; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Rachel Howieson of Mankato and Irene Howard of Mankato; two sisters-in-law, Donna Jean Sharp of Mapleton and Darlene Sharp of Amboy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Katie; and brothers, Everett and Bob.
