Ione E. Abraham, age 74 of North Mankato and formerly of Gaylord, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living in North Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Ione was born May 17, 1939 to Herbert and Zula (Unger) Bader in Kennan, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage Maynard Abraham on May 28, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She helped on the farm and also worked at Hand's Inc. in Winthrop for many years. Ione attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato.

She enjoyed family history, word search, fudge, cards and bingo at Oak Terrace.

Ione is survived by her five children, Marlene Abraham of Gaylord, Mary (Robert) Knoebel of Grantsburg, WI, Elaine (Brye) Fowler of Gaylord, Maynard Abraham Jr. of Faribault, Glendon Abraham of Gaylord; three grandchildren, Steve (Brittany) Conklin, Justin Conklin, Johnathan Knoebel and special friend, Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Carter Conklin, Aiden Conklin, Anna Knoebel, Violet Knoebel; three sisters, Vivian (Harold) Ulrich of Blooming Prairie, Darlene (Buddy) Martens of Lafayette, Shirley (Larry) Lindberg of Webster, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband and brother, Herbert.
