Jack, known to some as "Super Jack", was born December 3, 1925, in Lake Andes, SD. He was the son of Michael and Fern (Cleveland) Connelly. Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943 and proudly served his country during WWII. He retired as a Chief Radarman after 20 years of service. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Patricia Grandin, on May 29, 1952, in Norfolk, VA. In most cases, when you saw one of them, you most likely saw them both as they were always a twosome.

Following his military service, Jack worked for Comac and Jones Sheet Metal for 13 years. He manufactured his own line of wood stoves in 1978. In 1985, Jack owned and operated E.L. Metals Inc., manufacturing garbage containers and hog equipment. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Eagle Lake American Legion #617. Jack enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and attending his grandchildren's school activities. He lived life to the fullest and was proud of his achievements. He may have been up in age, but was young at heart.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Pat of Madison Lake; daughter, Susan (Harry) Baker of Cleveland; son, Gary (Mary) Connelly of Madison Lake; grandchildren, Chris (Nikki) Baker, Todd Baker, Ryan (Jody) Baker, Nicole (Jamie) Kriha, and Stacey (Mike) Ferch; great-grandchildren, Cody Baker and his special friend, Christi, Dylan and Levi Baker, Hannah and Mitchell Baker, Cade and Riley Kriha, Brandon Lundgren, Logan and Tanner Ferch; three sisters, Marguerite Burns, Joanne Mathistad, and Adeline Hansen; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Grandin and Nedra Connelly; also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and two brothers.

Thanks to great-grandson, Mitchell, age 4, for your beautiful prayers for Grandpa Jack.
