Wayne Langevin, age 72, of Mankato, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Oaklawn Health Care Center.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Laurer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1 from 3-6 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Lake Crystal.

Wayne Robert Langevin, son of Hector and Anna (Vermeersch) Langevin was born on January 26, 1941 in Faribault, MN. He attended school in Judson and Mankato. He joined the United States Navy in 1959. Wayne was united in marriage to Dona Spotts in 1960 and they later divorced. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Wayne worked and managed restaurants in Mankato, Rochester, Cannon Falls and Zumbro Falls. On May 28, 1977 Wayne married Carol Bode at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. After their marriage they lived and worked at Camp Omega in Waterville. After leaving Camp Omega he started his own business, "Wayne's Wood "N" Frame Shop" in Morristown. He also did picture framing for the Lavender Inn in Faribault.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol of Mankato; three children, Holly (Steve) Swift of Savage, Tami (Paul) Schneider of Hastings, and Dan Langevin of Hastings; mother, Anna Langevin of Mankato; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Sharon Thomas of Norwood; two sisters-in-law, Pam Langevin of West Warwick, RI and Darlene Langevin of Killeen, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hector; infant son, Michael; two brothers, Richard and Roger; sister, Janet Thomas; and two brothers-in-law, Harland and Tom Thomas.
