Dennis J. Birch, age 71, of Mantorville, died on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 11:30 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the mortuary. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Dennis was born on December 8, 1941 in Superior, WI to Joseph and Mary (Bush) Birch. On February 4, 1967, Dennis was united in marriage to Patricia Dumont. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for many years. He enjoyed computers and technology.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Becky Zacharias (Brian Fishel) of Mankato; son, David (Cherie) Birch of New Richmond, WI; grandchildren, Patti, Peter, Suzy, and Mindy Johnston and Cole and Kaylee Birch; as well as three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brother, Raymond, and sister, Barbara.
