Gloria Jeane Zachow lost her 15 year battle with cancer on November 14, 2013 at her home in North Mankato, surrounded by her family.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Northview " North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato with Pastor John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 " 7 p.m., Tuesday at Northview " North Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Local Eagles #269 cancer fund or Hospice of the Valley.

Gloria was born in Pierre, SD on November 4, 1948 to Lawrence and Eini (Kujansuu) Major. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1967 and from Mankato State College with a degree in Home Economics.

Gloria was employed at Mankato Citizens Telephone Co., Sears, and for the past 25 years at Manpower Temporary Services as Branch Manager. During her time at Manpower she earned many awards. She was involved in many community organizations. She was past President of the Noon Exchange Club, Past President of the Eagles Aux. # 269, on the executive board of VINE, and was very involved in the Mankato Relay for Life and many other cancer fund raisers.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Zachow; sons, Rich (Lynn) Rasmussen of Sartell, MN, Randy (Rhonda) Rasmussen of Mankato, Mac (Christy) Zachow of Minnetrista, MN, daughters, Kris (Jon) Bratsch, Gaylord, MN, Kerry Polzin and Eric of Brownton, MN; ten grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Longmore of Grand Rapids, MN, Shirley (Jim) Lewis of Cortland, OH; brother, Ken (Becky) Major of Grand Rapids, MN.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Wally Major.
