Martha was born December 12, 1917 to Nicholas and Wilhelmina (Lebrun) Hollerich in Lismore, MN. She graduated from Garden City High School. On June 11, 1955, Martha was united in marriage to Ray C. Peterson at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Martha and Ray were blessed with their son Doug in 1957. Martha worked for Gambles for over 20 years, and also worked for JC Penneys, Bretts, and the 309 Shop. Martha was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for around 60 years, volunteered for the ISJ Hospital Auxiliary, Counsel of Catholic Women & Social Concerns, and American Legion Auxiliary, and served as a den mother for Cub Scouts. Martha enjoyed a good game of 500, and traveling the countryside with friends for a Lutefisk dinner. But it was her pickles and pie crusts that her friends and family especially remember.
Martha is survived by her son, Doug (Terese Fink) Peterson; grandchildren, Ben and Maria Peterson; sister, Rosanne (Norm) Carlson; and sister-in-law, Bernette Hollerich. Martha loved unconditionally and cared deeply for her family. She will be deeply missed.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Ray in 1991; and her siblings, Joseph, George, Mary, Christine, John, Pete, and Sam.
