Annette Irene Hoffmann, age 96, of Springdale, Arkansas, formerly of Mankato, died on October 24, 2013 at the Windcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center of Springdale. She had been a resident there for the past three years.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in St. Clair.

Annette Irene Manthey was born on April 27, 1917 in Lake Crystal to Herman and Maggie (Carpenter) Manthey. She married Lial Lee Ward and they raised their four children in St. Clair. When Annette was younger, she worked as a pea truck driver, candled eggs, and worked at MidTex for 28 years. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, flowers, dancing, and knitting many afghans for her family.

Annette is survived by her children, Norman (Trena) Ward of Sprindale, AR, Juanita Brunz of Lake Crystal, and Raymond (Karen) Ward of Mankato; sister, Genevive Freeberg of Mankato; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Lial, Paul, and John; son, Merle; and seven brothers and sisters.
