Wilmar Frederick Reinke, age 91, of Mapleton, died, Friday, October 25, 2013 Laurels Peak in Mankato.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Willow Creek, with Rev. John Bennett officiating. Interment with military honors will be in North Willow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the church. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.
Wilmar was born October 3, 1922 to Herman and Hannah Elizabeth (Wilke) Reinke in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. He attended school at St. John's, Willow Creek. Wilmar was united in marriage to Evelyn Lucille Jobe on September 17, 1944 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Willow Creek. He served his country with the U.S. Army from December 4, 1944 " September 22, 1946 in the Philippines. Wilmar was a farmer for many years, he later worked for Golden Pantry Foods in Madelia and Gartner Egg Farm in Mapleton. He enjoyed fishing, reading, farming, playing cards, polka music, and spending time with his family.
Wilmar is survived by four daughters, Carin (William) Chaney, Beverley (David) Michels, Doreen (Michael) Terpstra, and Elaine (Leonard) Carlquist; one son, Vern (Patty) Reinke; ten grandchildren, Chad and Aric Chaney, Chris, Jeff, and Darrick Terpstra, Ann Tesch, Amy Carlquist, Cassandra Reinke, Dayna Gums, and Mackenzie Reinke; eleven great-grandchildren, Joey Terpstra and Austin Petersen Terpstra, Hannah and James Tesch, Catherine and Tim Tesch, April Carlquist, Madison and Kelsey Ristau, Caleb and Jayden Wolters Terpstra, and an expected great-grandchild in April; one brother-in-law, Ervin Jobe; also many nieces and nephews.
Wilmar was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn on December 24, 2010; three siblings, Hildegard, Alvin, and Rosella.
