Roger L. Paquin, age 77, of North Mankato, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Cottagewood Senior Communities in Mankato.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato, with Rev. CJ Langton officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 -7 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to VINE Faith in Action, ECHO Food Shelf, or donor's choice.

Roger was born January 25, 1936 to Octave & Helen (Mulliner) Paquin in Faribault, MN. He graduated from Faribault High School. Roger earned his Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Minnesota and later a Masters degree in Special Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. On September 19, 1959, Roger was united in marriage to Lucy Lindbloom in Soudan, MN. He was a Speech Pathologist and Vision & Hearing Consultant for the State of Minnesota for 30 years before retiring in 1997. Roger was a member of Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato, past Board Member of ECHO Food Shelf, and after his retirement he was a longtime volunteer for VINE Faith in Action. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to compose different creative writings.

Roger is survived by his wife, Lucy; children, Mike (Sharon) Paquin, Jill (Marc) Tullemans, Steve (Stephanie) Paquin, and Jodi (Tim) Markworth; 8 grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Noah Paquin.
