Steven Elroy Sloan, age 63, of Lake Crystal, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. " 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Lake Crystal Mortuary. A reception will follow at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Lake Crystal American Legion.

Steve was born January 16, 1950 to Russell and Delores (Austin) Sloan in Madelia, Minnesota. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1968 and worked most of his life at Sween/Coloplast in North Mankato. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends.

Steve is survived by Amy Merkley of Tampa, FL, daughter of Steve Sloan and Carolynn Kraus of Lake Crystal; parents, Russell and Delores Sloan of Lake Crystal; four siblings, Jim (Kathy) Sloan of Mankato; Bill Sloan of Red Wing, Dave Sloan, Julie Miller both of Lake Crystal; companion, Sandy Nygaard of Lake Crystal; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
