Abbie L. Bergner

Abbie Lyn Bergner, age 43, of Bemidji and formerly of Mankato, died accidentally Monday, May 9, 2022, at her home.

Memorial Service 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2022, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service on Monday starting at 11:00 a.m.

Abbie Lyn was born March 2, 1979, to Thomas J. and Karen M. (Tukua) Bergner in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. She graduated from Mankato East High School in 1997. After high school Abbie trained dogs in Iowa and South Carolina, later returning to Mankato, working at Fine Impressions. Abbie moved to St. Cloud, graduating from the MN School of Business as a Vet Tech and then was employed at the Zimmerman Veterinary Clinic. Abbie moved to Bemidji, where she was employed by Sanford Health. Abbie enjoyed anything to do with pets, nature, fishing, camping, and gardening.

Abbie is survived by her parents, Karen Bergner of Mankato, Tom Bergner of Bemidji; three siblings, Jennifer Paulson of Mankato, Marcus Bergner of Albany, and Jay (Dana) Bergner of Oronoco; four nieces and nephews, Hannah Bergner, Cody Paulson, and Nora and Ty Bergner; aunts and uncles, Ellen (Richard) Chicos, Gene (Karla) Tukua, Patricia (Bruce) Breilein, Dwayne Escher, Michael (Barb) Bergner, Jodi (Tom) Quiram, James Bergner, and Jill (Neil) Schlaak; and many cousins.

Abbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle and Eugene “Duke” Tukua, Donna and Lyle “Rocky” Bergner, and her aunt, Jeri Escher.
