Ada Esther Harris

Ada Esther Harris, age 86, of Mankato, died on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Laurel’s Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Private family services only will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato. Interment will be at Garden City Cemetery in Garden City.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Mankato Mortuary, 1001 North Riverfront Drive in Mankato.

Ada Esther, the daughter of Ralph and Esther (Siehndel) Burnett, was born on March 24, 1934 in Le Center. She attended school in Kasota and St. Peter. Ada married Alfred R. Harris on July 19, 1950 in Cleveland and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was previously employed at Christ the King for 31 years and was a member of the altar guild. Ada enjoyed taking pictures, picnics, dancing, singing and 4-H.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Evers of Lafayette, MN and Carol Ann Griego of New Mexico; daughters in law, Suzanne Harris of North Mankato and Sue Harris of Brainerd; grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters, Dianne Borchardt, LaVina Reif and Ann Frerichs; sister in law, Melda Burnett; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Peggy, Pam, Patsy, Dean and Dennis; brother, Duane Burnett; and two brothers in law, Jim Reif and Marvin Frerichs.

Memorials may be directed to Christ the King Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
