Alice Ann Salfer

Alice Ann Salfer, age 76, of Mankato, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at Pathstone Living.

Visitation will be held from 3-5pm, Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive, Mankato. Memorial service will be held at 11am, Monday, March 28, 2022, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior. Graveside service will be held at a later date. Livestreaming will be available at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Alice was born April 29, 1945, in St. Peter, MN to Joseph and Alice (Sieg) Kachelmeier. She graduated from Nicollet High School in 1963. Alice was united in marriage to Wayne Salfer on August 21, 1965, and they were blessed with three daughters. Alice was a talented seamstress who focused on wedding and bridesmaid dresses. She also loved flower gardening and spending time with her family. In her earlier years, she enjoyed talking and giving directions on the CB radio, under the handle “Little Blue Bird.”

Alice is survived by her husband, Wayne Salfer, of Mankato; daughters, Brenda Lundberg of Mankato, Laurie (Kyle Conrady) Mitchell of Prior Lake, and Sue (Dean) Krienke of Waterville; grandchildren, Landon Lundberg, Jared Mitchell, Cody Mitchell, Tori (Jordan) Lorenz, Taylor Krienke, and Shelby Krienke; and sister, Barb Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Joseph, Jerome, James, and Collette.
