Allen J. Mohr

Allen J. Mohr, age 92, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.

Allen was born, August 26, 1932, to Martin and Clara (Tauer) Mohr in Cottonwood Township, MN. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm, MN in 1950 and Mankato Teachers College in 1954. He taught Industrial Arts for over 50 years at Randolph High School (Randolph, MN), Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN), and Loyola High School (Mankato, MN), as well as the Vocational College in North Mankato. He married Judy Zollner on August 9, 1960.

One of Allen’s greatest joys was teaching students and giving them the skills with which he was blessed.

The family would like to thank all those who have reached out and supported Allen and his family, as well as those who have visited him over the past eight months. Additionally, the family wishes to thank Allina Hospice staff and Niki Post of Visiting Angels for the excellent care they provided Allen.

Allen is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Tim (Jean) Mohr, Sandy (Chris) Howe, Bill (Wendy) Mohr, Darcy (Jason) Erickson, and Todd (Brook) Mohr; grandchildren, Ryan, Michaela, Addison, Stella, Lindsey, Norah, and Landon; and siblings, Hilary Mohr and Irene Schwartz.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vernon Mohr, Clarence Mohr, Marlow Mohr, Landis Mohr; and his sisters, Aurelia Guggisberg, Sr. Agneta Mohr OSB, and Elizabeth Larson.
