Allan "Ted" Glaser

Allan “Ted” Glaser, age 76, of Mankato, died peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous fight against cancer, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at his home.

A Memorial Service Celebrating Ted’s Life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.

Allan Theodore was born February 6, 1949, to Norbert C.A. and Ardella L. (Stanke) Glaser in Mankato. Ted was confirmed and baptized at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in St. Clair. Ted graduated from St. Clair High School in 1967.

Ted joined the U.S. Army in September of 1967, serving in the Vietnam War. He was wounded in the service, receiving both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Ted was honorably discharged in 1969.

Ted was united in marriage to Susan D. Freyberg in 1980 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato.

Ted started in career in 1970 with ADM of Mankato, working until a stroke forced him to retire in July 2001.

Ted cherished time with his granddaughters and his dogs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on projects to always keep his hands busy, collecting antique tools, and winter vacations to Florida and Texas. He always loved driving a “Red” Chevrolet truck.

Ted is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Jesse (Heather) Glaser; two granddaughters, Everlee and Karlee; two sisters, Ardella Pemble and Melinda Rollings; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve Freyberg, Sandra (Jack) McDonald, Sherry (Bill) Kozitza, Sheila (Tom) Seigfreid; nieces and nephews.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Ardella; parents-in-law, Duane and Marge Freyberg; two brothers-in-law, Phil Pemble and Fred Rollings; sister-in-law, Lynette Freyberg.
