Athanna “Ann” Kuball was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 8, 1938 to Ivy Cossentine and William Brazill.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church in Eagle Bend, Minnesota.

Ann graduated from Eagle Bend High School and worked for local restaurants before working for Mandh Gas Company in St. Paul and National Fabrics in Minneapolis. After working in Civil Service positions in Todd and Cottonwood Counties, she spent 29 years working at the Mapleton Community Home as the Secretary - Bookkeeper.  It was there she found a great love for the residents and fellow employees.  She was raised by her "Grandma Rose" so she came by a very caring attitude, especially for seniors.

On June 6, 1959, Ann married the love of her life, Dick Kuball, at the Methodist Church in Eagle Bend, Minnesota.  As you know, June 6 is the anniversary of "D-Day" and the day Ann and Dick "invaded" each other's life.   It was a great victory for 64 years.   Their married lives were full of laughter (Dick's Cossack Dance and Ann's Valentine's Day surprise to mention a couple!) Ann and Dick enjoyed many years "snow birding" in Florida and Arizona.  Ann really loved visiting, playing all kinds of cards especially Bridge, traveling, movies, watching sports and most of all her life with Dick and their sons Kevin, Kent and Kurt, Daughter's in Law Jody, Chris and Janet and their six Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren Alex, Chelsea, Philip, Will, Sarah, Amanda, Maverick and Axel.  One very memorable moment was when she and Dick worked as extras in the movie Mighty Ducks 3.  Ann and Dick also helped out for many years delivering Meals on Wheels in Mapleton.

Ann was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mapleton.  Prior to this, she taught Sunday School at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, North Dakota while Dick was in Graduate School. At St. John's, she served on the Funeral Committee, ushered, greeted and helped out with Luther League and other various committees.

She enjoyed Women's Study Clubs in Jeffers and Mapleton.   While in Jeffers, she served as President of the local chapter as well as President's of the Cottonwood County Chapter and the Mapleton Chapter.

Ann is survived by her three sons Kevin (Jody), Kent (Chris), Kurt (Janet), her Grandchildren Alex, Chelsea, Philip, Will, Sarah, Amanda and her 2 Great Grandchildren Maverick, Axel and many cousins.

The Kuball family would like to thank the Mapleton Community Home, Heritage Place, Laura, Jody and Abby of Brighton Hospice and The Pillars of Mankato for their exceptional care.  In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lewy Body Dementia Association.
