Audrey J. Tate

Audrey J. Tate, age 80, of North Mankato, passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1945, to Carl and Esther (Bennett) Schwichtenberg.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m, Wednesday, July 16, at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held an hour prior.

She was a proud graduate of St. Peter High School and went on to attend Mankato Commercial College. Audrey devoted 50 years of service as a legal assistant at Blethen Gage and Krause, where she was known for her meticulous work.

In 1994, Audrey married Ken Tate, and together they made their home in North Mankato.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roland Schwichtenberg.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Ken Tate; his five children: Mollie (Doug) Monson, Michelle (Peter) Sexe, Tammy (Dave) Kammerer, Calvin (Becky) Tate, and Sylvia (Earl) Kunz; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Amy Schwichtenberg; and her dear friend, Pat Buchanan.
