Barbara Louise was born on June 3, 1926 in Mankato to Herb and Olive (Schwefel) Brockmeyer.  Barb graduated from Mankato High School in 1944 and attended Mankato Commercial College for one year.  After raising her three children she got a job at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital in the maternity department, loving and taking care of babies. On June 18, 1948, Barb was united in marriage to Jim Lee from Lake Crystal.  Sadly, Jim died in 1994 from cancer.  Five years later, Barb met Lyle Priem and they were married in 1999.  They enjoyed many years together until Lyle’s death in 2012.  Barb’s life was dedicated to God and her family and friends.  She was very much involved in her beloved church, Messiah Lutheran.

Barb is survived by her children, Anne (Robert) Williams of Vernon Center, Kay (Larry) Burtis of Burnsville, MN, and Rob (Gloria) Lee of North Mankato; grandchildren, Emily (Kurt) Johnson, Ben (Amy) Williams, Ted Williams, Michelle (Todd) DeMerit, Sally Boyd (Ram Bonner), Kevin (Michelle) Boyd, Andy (Amy) Lee, and Eric Lee (Thomas Mueller);  13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Jim Lee; 2nd husband, Lyle Priem; and brother, Rod Brockmeyer.

The family would like to thank the staff at Crystal Seasons and The Beacon and Moments Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Barb.
