Betty Caroline Hodgkins age 91, died December 27, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health Care System-Mankato.

Private family Spring burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Mayo Clinic Health Care System or Christ the King Lutheran Church. There will be no public services. Cards may be sent to Pam Khazen in care of Mankato Mortuary, 1001 North Riverfront Drive, Mankato, MN 56001.

Betty was born March 21, 1929, in Waldorf to Robert and Margaret Marpe. She graduated from Waldorf High School and Mankato State University with an elementary teaching degree. She taught school in New Richland and Mankato.

Betty married Delbert Hodgkins on June 24, 1952, in Waldorf. She worked at Brett's Department Store and Norsemen Imports. She was a very active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, wedding coordinator and greeter, coffee coordinator, and office assistant. She volunteered her time at MRCI Thrift Shop, served on the ISJ Hospital Foundation Board, and assisted with City elections.

Betty was active in Mrs. Jaycees on a local and state level as State President, was a member of Women of Today and a recipient of the Key Award winner, was an active Chamber member and past Queen of the Bend of the River Festival, and was active with the Convention and Visitors Bureau Captains Crew.

Betty is survived by daughter Pamela Khazen and husband Anthony of Des Plaines, IL; grandson Michael and great-grandson Sylas. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
