Beverly Allen, age 86 of Mankato, MN, died on Monday, March 23 at Pathstone Latitude surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary and also will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
Beverly was born on Jan 11, 1940, daughter of Maurice and Evelyn Petersen. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1957. Beverly was united in marriage to Richard R. Allen on June 23, 1957 in rural Lakeville MN. She worked at Midtex in North Mankato for many years. She retired from EI Microcircuits in 2010. Beverly loved gardening, cross stitch (won a Grand Champion Ribbon at the county fair), candy making, puzzles, decorating for the holidays and attending as many kids, grandkids and great grandkids activities as possible. Beverly loved cheering on the MN Vikings, but her favorite team was the MN Twins. She was also an avid bingo player and was most proud of winning a big jack pot on her last birthday as well as a homemade quilt at the weekly Monday bingo game at Pathstone. Beverly was a longtime member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato.
Beverly is survived by her children, Toni (Mark) Wisch of Park Rapids, MN, Kevin (Shelli) Allen of Cloquet,MN, Deb Feil of Eagle Lake, Roberta (Tim) Peterson of Le Sueur, and Kathy Haag of Mankato; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings; and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; mother and father-in-law, Mike “Roscoe” Allen and Lillian Isabelle Verness; son-in-law, Ed Haag; great-grandson, Keegan Andreasen; and great-granddaughter, Jamie Allen; 6 siblings; and numerous in laws.
A huge thank you to Ecumen Hospice, and all of the friends she made at Pathstone Latitude.
