Bronwyn "Brownie" C. Hughes

Bronwyn Catherine Hughes, age 75, of Mankato, died Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday at Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Lake Crystal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor’s favorite charity.

Bronwyn was born February 11, 1947, to William S. and Helen L. (Lunde) Hughes in Mankato. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1966. She was employed for over 30 years in housekeeping at the Mankato Lutheran Home (Pathstone) before retiring. Bronwyn enjoyed raising rabbits as a young girl, reading, embroidery, watching TV, especially the Young and the Restless. She loved to travel, traveling to Hawaii 9 times, Canada, Mexico, several cruises, and numerous bus tours. She loved to listen to music, especially Native American flute music. Bronwyn was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the church Bible Study group.

Bronwyn is survived by her sister, Gretchen Hughes of Savage and several cousins. Bronwyn was preceded in death by her parents.
