Bruce V. Tibbetts

Bruce V. Tibbetts, age 73, of Lake Crystal, died after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato.

Memorial Service 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery.

Bruce was born March 1, 1947 to Verle and Kathleen (Davidson) Tibbetts in Minneapolis. He attended Lake Crystal High School. Bruce was united in marriage to Sandra K. Niederkofler on May 22, 1965 in Lake Crystal. Bruce was employed by Lundin/SMC Construction for 38 years before retiring. In retirement he worked part-time for the city of Lake Crystal. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He will be remembered as a great story and joke teller. Bruce loved working on cars and hot rods, attending car shows, racing cars, but most especially he enjoyed attending all his grandchildren’s activities.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Sandy; two children, Dean (Paula) Tibbetts and Denise (Kevin) Hagge all of Lake Crystal; four grandchildren, Cody and McKenzie Tibbetts, Devan and Jacob Hagge; sister, Theresa (Nathan) Greene; his dog, Sophie; and extended family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
