Carmen G. Kirksey

Carmen Gonzales Kirksey, age 79, of Mankato, Minnesota, died January 5, 2025.

A Private Family service will be held. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

Carmen was born July 10, 1945, to Inocente H. and Paula (Prado) Gonzalez in Pearsall, Texas. She graduated from Pearsall High in 1963.  Carmen was employed by Johnson Outdoors, Mankato, MN for many years.  Carmen was a loving mother and friend who loved taking care of people.  Carmen loved trips to the Casino, wordsearches and crossword puzzles, Chinese food, and watching TV game shows.

Carmen is survived by three children, JohnEric (Melinda) Kirksey, Michael (Vicky) Kirksey, and Kristy Kirksey all of Mankato; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Claudio (Juana) Gonzales of Devine, TX, Antonio (Juanita) Gonzalez of Pearsall, TX, and San Juanita Dorantes of Racine, WI; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Inocente and Paula; husband, John Kirksey; brother, Martin Gonzales; and sister, Irene Ramirez.
