Carol Dallmann

Carol Louise Dallmann, 80, of rural St. Peter, joined her loving family and friends in God’s heaven on May 19, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Dr. in North Mankato. Following the visitation will be a time for a quiet goodbye and a prayer at Tivoli Cemetery next to her favorite place growing up, her grandparent’s farm. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Carol was born February 19, 1942 in Mankato to Lawrence and Ivonne (Crowley) Oachs. Her life was a happy time with family and friends growing up and going to school during the 40s and 50s in small town Mankato and Eagle Lake. She met Donald Dallmann dancing at the ballroom. They married December 5, 1959. She then moved to the farm in Belgrade Township next to Seven Mile Creek in rural St. Peter. Together, they raised three great kids, Randy, Dawn, and Danny on the farm. Farming dairy cattle, steers, horses, goats, chickens, pigs, and several pet dogs and cats was hard work, some tears, but full of lots of happy times! In her free time, Carol enjoyed caring for two ponies, riding motor bikes and snowmobiles, 4H, cardplaying, bonfires, going up to the lake with friends, hayrides, ballgames, baking and cooking, and going to Vegas and Florida spring training with family and friends. She especially enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports and parties with family and friends. For Carol they were wild good times full of lots of laughter!

Keeping happy memories include her husband of 62 years, Donnie; daughter, Dawn (Frank) Gilman of Lake Crystal, son, Dan of rural St. Peter; grandsons, Justin and Brandon Gilman of Lake Crystal, Kyle and Cody Dallmann of North Mankato, and Joe Hoffmann of North Mankato; daughter-in-law, Hope (Dallmann) McKimpson of North Mankato; brothers, Tom (Dee) Oachs and Mark (Deb) Oachs both of Mankato; Oachs nephew and nieces and families; Cooper nephew and nieces and families; Crowley and Oachs cousins; cousins-in-laws; and so many wonderful friends and good neighbors.

Waiting in heaven are Carol’s son, Randy; grandson, baby Nathan; parents; parents-in-law, Wilbert and Irene Dallmann; godmother and aunt, Marion Qualset; sister-in-law, Donna (Loren) Cooper; godfather and uncle, Maurice (Agnes) Crowley; nephew, Kurt Oachs; Oachs aunts and uncles; and many special friends and old neighbors.
