Chad Everett Nordstrom, age 50, of Amboy passed away on October 20, 2023.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Livestreaming will be available at www.mankatomortuary.com
Chad was born on December 20, 1972, in St. Paul, MN. He attended high school at Minnehaha Academy and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1995. On September 15, 2001, he was united in marriage to Mary Helen Lancaster in Mankato, MN. Animal rescue was a big part of Chad’s life where he was involved with fostering, transporting, and donating time to various animal rescue organizations. He enjoyed science fiction with Star Trek and Dr. Who being among the favorites. He also played pool league in the Mankato area for several years.
Chad is survived by his wife, Mary Helen; parents, Ken and Gladys; siblings, Eric (Lisa), Gina (Jon Otto), and Tami; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Lancaster; brothers-in-law, Dave (Debi) Hein, Lance (Alicia) Lancaster, Gene (Melissa) Lancaster, Mark (Tricia) Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Stacy (Frank) Lancaster, Jodi Blumhoefer; dogs, Snowflake, Summer, and Phoebe; good friend, Pat Radunz, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jerry Lancaster; brother-in-law, Troy Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Howard and Pearl Nordstrom and maternal grandparents, Rudy and Esther Nosco.
