Charlotte Ann Jansen

Charlotte Ann Jansen, age 93 of Mankato, died December 18, 2021 at Lyngblomsten Care Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Viewing and visitation at 1:00 PM with Mass of Christian Burial following at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 423 W. 7th Street, Mankato. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Service will be livestreamed by Mankato Mortuary at www.mankatomortuary.com. Masks required, practice social distancing.

Memorials are preferred to either St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church or Lyngblomsten Foundation, 1415 Almond Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108.

Charlotte was born May 7, 1928 to Nicholas and Agnes (Goettl) Tacheny in Mankato, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Werner Jansen on September 3, 1949. In addition to raising 13 children, Charlotte farmed with her husband for 53 years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses, retiring from Mico Incorporated in 1998.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Carolyn (Paul) Wilberg, Ronald (Louise) Jansen, Sue (Ken) Cordes, Bonnie Jansen, Deanna (Hugh) Reilly, Daniel (Kathleen) Jansen, Robert Jansen, Patricia (Scott) Martens, Jeffrey (Faith) Jansen, Lisa Jansen-King, Renae Schmitz, Michelle (John) Jansen-Griswold, Michael (Jodie) Jansen; 39 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Sr. June Marie Tacheny, Bernice Wilmes, Karen Lynch; sister-in-law, Jane Jansen; brother-in-law, Anthony Jansen; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by husband, Werner; her parents, Nicholas and Agnes Tacheny; siblings, DeWayne Tacheny, Marvin Tacheny, Evelyn Jansen.
