Charlotte Anne Winslow, age 88, of North Mankato, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato.  Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Austin, MN. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to several of Charlotte’s favorite organizations.

Charlotte was born on July 26, 1935, to Edward Peter and Barbara Lucy (Schumacher) Schottler in Austin, MN.  She graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1953, where she was their Homecoming Queen. She earned her degree from Mankato Teacher’s College in 1957.  

Charlotte married Marvin Ralph Winslow on November 30, 1957, they were married for 29 years.

Charlotte taught school in Hammond, Indiana, relocated to Aurora, Colorado, then returned to Minnesota where she taught 2nd grade in Gaylord, MN.  Later, she was a Title I Aide for the Mankato Public Schools.  

Charlotte was highly involved and found great joy participating in many activities.

She was a devoted Catholic who was very active in several parishes in Mankato.  She enjoyed quilting, singing at senior living communities, gardening, traveling to see her children, visiting parks to enjoy nature, playing in card clubs, attending sporting events, plays, and concerts in Mankato.  She was a member of bowling and golf leagues. Other passions include watching the MN Twins, genealogy, German Club, and baking. Most important to her was raising her children, and spending time with her brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

Charlotte is survived by her biggest joy in life, her five children; Mark Winslow of Slidell, LA, Steve (Jeanette) Winslow of East Helena, MT, Craig Winslow of Mankato, Martha (Brad) Bloomenrader of Owatonna, and Sarah (Chuck) Seamands of Hettinger, ND; seven grandchildren, Lynn Nash, Jacob Winslow, Ryan Winslow, Holly Bloomenrader, Laura Bloomenrader, Kindall Seamands, and Preston Seamands; four siblings, Dolores (Jim) Motschenbacher, Paul (Sherrill) Schottler, Wayne (Marcy) Schottler, and Lorraine (Barry) Stanek; brother-in-law, Dick McDonald; sister-in-law, Karla Schottler; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Eugene Schottler, Barbara Schottler, Janet McDonald, and Daniel Schottler.
