Cheryl Price

Cheryl Jean Price, age 74 of North Mankato passed away Saturday November 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cheryl was born on December 1, 1950, in Mankato, Minnesota to Laurell and Addie Boyum. Cheryl graduated from Mankato West High School in 1968. After that she went to cosmetology school in Mankato and graduated in 1969. On May 6, 1972, Cheryl married Denny Price. Together, they made their home in North Mankato, MN.

She worked in the Mankato School district as a paraprofessional and playground assistant at numerous schools.

She dedicated many hours of her life to her family raising 3 boys and later spending time with her granddaughters. Cheryl and Denny were VERY outdoors people and were always together either going on walks, bike rides or traveling to Duluth, Florida or spending time at their cabin in Brainerd, MN. She loved planting flowers at her home in North Mankato or at "The Cabin". Cheryl touched the lives of those who met her and will always be remembered as a very giving and caring person. Cheryl very much loved her family and each of them held a special place in her heart, especially her grandkids Sophie and Jaelynn.

Cheryl is survived by two sons, Tim & Terri Price and Jason & Renae Price; two grandchildren, Sophie & Jaelynn Price; brother, Larry Boyum (Carol); nephew, Andy and niece, Jennie.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Price; father, Laurell Boyum; mother, Addie Boyum; son, Jamey Price; and brother, Ron Boyum.

A Memorial Service is planned to honor Cheryl's life on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:00am at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30am - 11:00am prior to the service at Northview. A private family graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting to give a donation to the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.
