Clement Andrew Frederick, age 83, born March 5, 1943 in Mankato, MN, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Clem was the oldest of seventeen children of Cletus and Valeria (Haefner) Frederick. He graduated from Waseca Southern School of Agriculture in 1961. He also attended one year of junior college in Inver Grove Heights and two years of college at Mankato State University. Clem served his country in the US Army from 1967-1970. He served 14 months in Korea and was honorably discharged as an E5. Upon returning to the states, he attended Electronic School in the military and taught at Fort Bliss, TX. He was married to Rosie Galston-Rose and together they raised three daughters. They were later divorced. He worked for Continental Can, Layman Todd Realty, and did Promotional sales. Clem's greatest joy was spending time with his grandson, Avari. Clem enjoyed his movie collection, listening to music, along with coffee time with friends and playing cards.
Clem is survived by 3 daughters and 1 grandson, Gina Frederick, (Lisa Berwyn) Commerce City, CO, Renae Frederick, Mankato, her son, Avari Frederick, and Becky Frederick, Mankato; brothers and sisters, Barb Hoffman, Mankato, Rosie (Darryl) Hoffman, Benson, Linda Franke, (Jim Rossow) Madison Lake, Larry (Barb) Frederick, Berthoud, CO, Virginia (Chuck) Flitter, Pemberton, Nick (Linda) Frederick, Kilkenny, Andy (Marilyn) Frederick, St. Peter, Mary Kay (Len) Carpenter, Eagle Lake, Clete Frederick, Eagle Lake, Ralph (Nan) Frederick, Duluth, Linnette (Pat) Anderson, Madison Lake, Philip Frederick (Kathy Bouley), Dayton, Darlene (Jim) Dauk, Eagle Lake; sister-in-law, Caroline Frederick, North Mankato; numerous amazing nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Cletus December 2001; Valeria November 2017; brothers, Danny October 2013, Claver May 2014, David April 2016; brothers-in-law, Willie Franke January 2013 and Jim Hoffman March 2016; sister-in-law, Kim Frederick March 2026.
Mass will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagle Lake American Legion following the burial.
