Dale W. Sandborg

Dale W. Sandborg, age 89, died Friday, December 19, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026. Day and Time to be announced later.

Dale Wayne Sandborg was born in St. James, MN to Alfred and Mabel (Holmquist) Sandborg on June 1, 1936. He attended Pemberton Schools graduating in 1955, he worked as a farm hand for 2 years before joining the Airforce in 1957 for Jet mechanics, He worked for Vetter Stone from 1980 to 2004 when he retired.

Dale was an avid dancer his sweetie and dance partner Carol Hornstein passed November 26, 2025.

He also enjoyed traveling and carpentry.

Dale is survived by his children, Betsy Quilling and her 2 kids Sadie and Liam, Jacob and Melissa (Theis) Quilling and their 3 children Warren, Evan, and Ruth, Sally (Sandborg) Schroeder, Gustav and Anamarriah (Sloan) Sandborg and their 2 children, Kailem and Myrrin; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his son, Richard Dale Sandborg (1972); brothers, Ervin Sandborg (2025), Robert Sandborg (1993) and Arlen Sandborg (1958); parents, Alfred and Mabel Sandborg; and numerous friends and family along the way.
