Dan Lee Rundle

Dan Lee Rundle peacefully went to his eternal home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 after suffering a stroke.

Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary.

Dan was born to Tom and Marie Rundle on July 31, 1949 in Perry, Iowa. Dan was raised in Dana, Iowa and later Ellsworth, Iowa. In 1959, his family moved to Renwick, Iowa where Dan helped on the family farm raising turkeys, cattle and hogs. He was in 4-H and won the Grand Champion pen of 5 steers one year. In high school, Dan excelled in sports, especially basketball and football. He graduated in 1968 from Boone Valley High School in Renwick.

The summer after graduation he met the love of his life, Kathy Ayers. They were united in marriage on December 6, 1970. In 1977, they moved to Cleveland where Dan continued farming and raising his family. He and Kathy were blessed with three children, Tami, Brent, and Ann-Marie. He loved watching his kids participate in their activities as well as spend time at their lake home. He was actively involved in his church and enjoyed sharing his spiritual gifts.

Life took an unexpected turn when Kathy passed away on April 16, 1991. After that unfortunate life-changing event, Dan relocated to Iowa for a couple years and then settled in the Amboy area. In 1999, he was united in marriage to Pat Zellmer. Dan enjoyed farming and also watching sports, gardening, and taking care of his house. The last couple years he took great joy in raising his black lab, Patrick.

Left behind to treasure his memory are his wife, Pat; his daughter, Tami Sellner and her children, Makenzie, Austin, and Carsen; his son, Brent Rundle and his wife, Sara, and their children, Jacob, Derek, and Tyler; his daughter, Ann Pratt and her husband, Josh, and their children, Emalyn, Liliana, and Benton; his sister, Linda Winston and her husband, Roger; and his brother, Dave and his wife Kathy, his nieces and nephew. While his family will miss him dearly, they take comfort in knowing he joined the love of his life, Kathy, exactly 34 years after she went home to her Savior.
