Daniel “Dan” G. Corcoran, age 90, of Mankato, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Memorial Service Celebrating Dan’s Life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church, Mankato. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Friday at the church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Daniel George was born February 25, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to Paul G. and Edith J. (Anderson) Corcoran. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1954.
Dan met Mickey the love of his life in high school they shared almost 70 years married and were true partners in life and love.
Dan started C&S Supply Co. in partnership with Richard “Wick” Sherwood in November 1957. Dan became owner in 1984 until his retirement.
Dan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, YMCA, AA, and VINE. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, water and snow skiing. Dan cherished time with his family at their cabin on Lake Jefferson or summer vacations to the Pine Ridge Resort near Orr, Minnesota. Dan and Mickey traveled to Mexico and Mesa, Arizona for several years.
Dan is survived by his wife, Mickey; three daughters, Cindy (David) Page of Madison Lake, Pamela (David) Coughlan of Mankato, Susan (Mark) Solberg of Lakeville; eight grandchildren, Andrea Wasmund, Meghan (Tommy) McCaffrey, Daniel Page, Bennett Coughlan (fiancé, Josie Pence), Maggie (Tim) Shaughnessy, Nora Coughlan, Lisa (Mark) Buege, and Marcie Berthelsen; five great-grandchildren, Macie McCaffrey, Oliver Wasmund, Brody McCaffrey, Bentley and Beau Buege; brother, John Corcoran; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Corcoran of Mankato, Deb (Ken) Schley of Duluth; nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Corcoran; parents-in-law, Inez Thomas Putrah, Buck (Doris) Putrah; sister-in-law, Judy Corcoran.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Alano Society of Mankato.
