Daniel J. Rasmussen

Daniel “Dan” J. Rasmussen, age 66, of Mankato, died Saturday, September 23, 2023, at his home.

A family memorial service will be held with interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Daniel was born November 4, 1956, to Stanley A. and Lillian J. (Feigum) Rasmussen in Benson, MN.  The family moved to Lake Crystal.  Dan has lived in Mankato since 1978 in the REM Homes.  He worked at MRCI for many years.  He was involved with the Special Olympics in years past.  Dan enjoyed music, watching Gunsmoke, Superman, Spiderman, visiting with his family, going to parties and dancing.

Dan is survived by his two siblings, Jim (Jaque) Rasmussen of Mankato and Mary (Robert) Neal of Alexandria; nieces and nephews, Brenna Neal, Jordan (Greg) Halvorson, Erik (Sue) Rasmussen, and Gay (Joel Gordon); great nieces and nephews and extended family.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
