Daryl J. Jacobsen, age 75 of Eagle Lake, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Oaklawn Heath Care Center in Mankato.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Friday, September 15, 2023 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato with burial in the Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00pm Thursday, September 14th at Mankato Mortuary, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Daryl John was born May 30, 1948 in Mankato to John and Irma (Hinz) Jacobsen. He graduated from Mankato High School and began working at the Bird's Eye Factory in Waseca, before being drafted into the US Army. Upon his discharge, he returned to Bird's Eye, where he eventually retired. Daryl was united in marriage to Janice A. Sieberg on December 3, 1971 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on home projects and one of his greatest joys in life was fishing.

Daryl is survived by sons: Eric (Valerie) and Chad; grandchildren: Lucas and Leah; sister: Beverly; brothers: Vern and Marlin; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice in 2008 and a brother, Dean.
