David Harold Ahl

David Harold Ahl, age 86, of North Mankato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1940, to Harold Ahl and Lillian (Flitter) Ahl.

Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, May 1, 2026, with a prayer service at 5:30 pm at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary.

Dave dedicated many years of his life working at Crown Cork & Seal before retiring. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and steady hands. Dave found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved playing handball, riding motorcycles, tending to his garden, driving along country roads, and listening to country music. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.

Dave will be remembered for his warm spirit and the lasting impression he left on everyone he met. His kindness and easygoing nature made him a friend to many.

He is survived by his children, Joseph (Patty) Ahl, Tracy Ahl, Terry Abdo, Tim (Judy) Abdo, Bill (Vicki) Abdo, and Frank Abdo; brother, Douglas (Edie) Ahl; two sisters, Sharon Ahl and Dawn (Gary) Deinert; his grandchildren, Tyler, Molly (Cody), Jamie, Aisha, Adera, JaRay, and Max; as well as his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dennis Ahl; and his grandchild, Zachary Abdo.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oak Terrace for their compassionate care and support.

Dave’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
