Dawn Rae Fromm

August 4, 1954 — May 2, 2026

North Mankato, Minnesota

Dawn Rae Fromm, 71, of North Mankato, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 2, 2026.

Dawn was born on August 4, 1954, in Fairmont, MN, to Eldon and Carol Groshens. She graduated from high school in Jackson, MN in 1972. On March 29, 1974, she married the love of her life, Clete Fromm, in Sleepy Eye, MN. Together, they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage and built a loving family with their children, Angela (Flavio) Abreu, Jeff (Paige) Fromm, Shelly Fromm, and Samantha (Joe) Shorey, and grandchildren, Kate, Millie, and Max Turrentine, and Taytum Fromm.

Dawn dedicated over 40 years to caring for children through her in-home daycare in Sleepy Eye, New Richland, and Owatonna. She took great pride in her daycare and often mentioned how she loved every one of them.

She was known for her quick wit and her signature style—always perfectly coordinated from her outfits to her nails and accessories. Dawn enjoyed shopping, spending time with family, and cheering on dirt track racing.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Clete; her children and grandchildren; her siblings, Diane (Rich) Johnson, Darla (Doug) Guritz, and Darry (Becky) Groshens; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
