Dolly Meyer

Ramona “Dolly” Joan Meyer, 91, of North Mankato, died June 17, 2021 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Holy Rosary in North Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. The family prefers memorials be given to the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Mankato. Northview-North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

Dolly was born February 16, 1930 to William and Geneviene (Saftner) Ulman in Mankato. She was baptized at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. She graduated from Loyola High School in 1948 and attended Mankato Commercial College. Dolly worked at Automatic Electric in Mankato, 3M in St. Paul, and E.F. Johnson in Waseca.

On October 2, 1965 Dolly married Robert “Bob” Meyer at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Together they raised four children, Tom, Jim, Sue, and Bill. In her free time, she enjoyed square dancing, working on puzzles, working out at the YMCA pool, working in the garden or just being outside. She also like to do knitting and embroidery. Dolly was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she ushered for 30 years. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and Holy Rosary C.C.W.

Dolly is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Tom (Lynn), Jim (Naoko). Susan McLeod, and Bill (Cheryl); grandchildren, Carrie, Tom, Ryker, Syrena, Sommer and Madison; sister, Jeanne Willette; and brothers, Donald and Gerald.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Monica and Audrey.
