Donald W. Adams, age 84 of Madison Lake, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marysburg. Visitation will begin at 9:00am at the church. To leave a condolence for the family or view the service livestream, please visit www.mankatomortuary.com.

Donald was born May 15, 1941 in St. Peter to Walter and Leona (Tiede) Adams. He grew up on a farm in Lexington Township, near Le Center. He attended Le Center High, and later Mankato Commercial College. In 1958 he enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a yeoman. He saw duty in many countries, including South America, Spain and Italy. Don married Sharon O’Malley in 1963, and they later divorced. On September 19, 1981 he married Joyce (Prom) Drumm. Don worked at Gilster Chevrolet and Larson Industries in Le Center, and then Heintz Auto Center in Mankato for over 30 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Marysburg, serving as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, and on the Parish Council. He was also a former member of the Mankato Golf Club, Mankato Elks Club, Moose Club, Caledonia Curling Club, and Continental Dance Club. He was also a member of the Le Center American Legion Color Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating, curling, travel, playing cards, 4-wheeling, dancing, golfing, and caring for his cats.

Don is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters: Kim (Pat) Sunder, DeNell (Todd) Anderson, Dawn Adams; step-children: Kim (Rick) Nelson, Todd (Valerie) Drumm, Dawn Drumm, Eric (Tiffany) Drumm; Grandchildren: Brittany and Natalie Sunder, Tressa (Bill) Slobodnik, Jenessa (Mark) Wallace, Julia Anderson, Joyce (Ken) Baker, Casey Johnson, Brandi and Nathan Drumm, Sean and Kenny (Lucy) Carpenter, Carson, Olivia, Brielle, William, and Maemi Drumm; great-grandchildren: Sean Carpenter Jr, Evelyn and Estelle Baker.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Kenny, Clifford, and Barbara Jean; great-grandson Kelly Gable.
