Donna T. Stark, age 85, of Mankato, passed away on, Monday, October 11, 2021 at Benedictine Living Community of St Peter from a three year journey of complications with Myasthenia gravis, Autonomic dysfunction, and Parkinson’s disease.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, MN with Fr. Schneider as celebrant. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. She will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling with her loving husband Wendell.

Donnie was born on the Berberich farm December 5, 1935, to Leonard and Alma (Baier) Berberich in Comfrey MN. She was baptized at St Paul's Catholic Church as Donnabell Theresa. She attended elementary school at country school District #63, went to Good Counsel Academy in Mankato and graduated from Comfrey High School in 1953. She then went to Minneapolis Business College and worked at Northwest National Bank.

She married Wendell Stark of Darfur on June 22, 1957, and they lived in Mankato for twelve years welcoming their beloved children. They resided in Burnsville, Edina, Webb Lake WI, Elysian and finally Mankato. While in the Twin Cities Donna was employed for 24 years at Lifetouch National School Studios as Supervisor of Account Executive Offices and head of Customer Service in all their divisions. She retired in 1997, when they moved to their lake home Webb Lake, WI.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. She loved spending time with her children and their families and was known to her grandchildren as the Grandma with the “magic purse”. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and cooking but above all she loved playing cards. She kept a Franklin Planner and was the family “go to” for dates of births, deaths, birthdays, and anniversary happenings. She loved meeting new people and cherished her lifetime friends.

She is survived by children, Kelly (Mike) Kauss, Elysian, MN, Chuck (Jackie) Stark, Milwaukee, WI, John (Roxanne) Stark, St. Anthony Village, MN, Gordy (Laurie) Stark, Champlin, MN; grandchildren, Anna (Nate) Larson, Joe (Heather) Olvia and Delany Stark, Marty Stark, Adam Trevor, and Callie Hamilton, Eleanor (Jacob) Blair and Leo Clabaugh, Alexandra (James) Josie, and Shep Sellen, and Tony (Elle) Stark; brother, Skip Berberich, Comfrey, MN, and sister-in-law, LaDonna Jensen, Watertown, SD. Many loved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, along with 13 Godchildren.

She leaves to join her parents; Leonard and (Alma) Berberich along with her siblings: Beatta (Wesley) Michelson and son Bob, Bernie (Maryls) Berberich, Margaret and son, Tracy Berberich and many, many inlaws.

The family is deeply grateful for the personal care given to Mom at the Benedictine Living Community. Donna requests condolences be sent to the Stark family PO Box 202, Elysian MN 56028.
