Dorothy B. Andring

Dorothy (Broucek) Andring, age 86, passed away in her home in North Mankato, MN on August 30, 2026, surrounded by people who loved her. Born February 7, 1940, she was the daughter of Rudolph and Helen Broucek, who raised her and her four siblings on a small farm in Mahnomen County, MN. Dorothy attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Waubun High School in 1958. She then moved to Minneapolis and worked as a secretary in a law firm.

In 1960 she married her home-town sweetheart, Robert Andring, and they made their home in Columbia Heights. They had two kids, Neil and Matthew, and they moved to Le Sueur, MN for a few years before eventually settling in Mankato, MN in 1977. They divorced in 2003.

Survivors include Robert Andring; her son, Matthew (Andrea) Andring; her sisters, Maryann Kochmann and Kathy (Steve) Kemper; her sisters-in-law Sally Broucek and Pamela Broucek, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents; her son, Neil Andring; her brothers, Donavan Broucek and Robert Broucek; her sister-in-law Lorraine Broucek; and her brother-in-law Michael Kochmann.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11am at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, with visitation beginning at 10am. A lunch will be served immediately following.
