Dorothy Redding

Dorothy Jean (Gosen) Redding, age 85, formerly of Mankato, MN, passed away on October 17, 2021.  Preceded in death by husband, Robert, Sr.; and son, Robert, Jr.; parents, Jacob and Sarah Gosen; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survived by daughter, Sandra; granddaughters, Lauren (Paetznick) DiPilato and Maret (Paetznick) Bondorew; sons-in-law, Joseph DiPilato and Jeffrey Bondorew; great-grandchildren, Grace, Aria and Ava DiPilato and Wesley Bondorew; sisters, Louise (Gosen) Sawatsky and Darlene (Gosen) Forbrook; and countless relatives and friends. 

Retired High School Home Economics teacher, Dorothy was universally loved by her students and former faculty. She also enjoyed attending Bible studies, singing in the church choir, sewing, stitching, knitting, and baking. Her greatest joys came from serving others at her church, through volunteer organizations such as the Red Cross, FarmAmerica, and various other worthy causes. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, particularly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m., November 6, 2021, followed by a memorial service at 10:30.  Both held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 222 Pfau St., Mankato, MN.  Private, immediate family-only, interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Windom, MN.
