Eileen Carol Roesner, age 74, of Mankato, died on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Delafield Township at a later date. The service will be livestreamed on Eileen's obituary page. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Eileen Carol, the daughter of Alfred and Lydia (Peters) Roesner, was born on July 1, 1947 in Jackson, MN. She lived in Lakefield before moving to Mankato. She attended Lincoln Community School in Mankato. Eileen was a member of the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Choir. She was known as being optimistic and always with a bright attitude like her favorite color yellow, never letting a bad attitude get her down. Eileen had a strong desire to be in the working field to prove to the world that she could do what they said she couldn’t. Eileen would pass the time with a good book, music, shopping, and being with people she loved.
She is survived by two sisters, Elaine Bezdicek of Sequim, WA and Evelyn Kietzer of Mankato; 2 nieces, Jessica Kietzer and Michelle Nordel; nephew, Michael Bezdicek; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Martha; and two brothers in law, Greg Bezdicek and Gordon Kietzer.
