In Loving Memory of Ellen “Ellie” F. Klugherz (Mulrooney).
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellie, a remarkable soul whose presence graced our lives in ways that words can scarcely capture. Ellie gained her angel wings on February 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and inspiration that will endure through the ages.
Born on June 18, 1945, to Garrett Mulrooney and Loretta McNamara, Ellie embarked on a journey that unfolded into a tapestry of compassion and generosity. Whether it was enjoying time at the Madison Lake cabins, or an evening fire at the campground, the comforting aroma of a home-cooked meal, or the laughter shared during family gatherings, Ellie found delight in life's smallest pleasures. Her genuine smile, often inspired by the littlest of things, illuminated the lives of those around her.
Ellie found immeasurable joy in the embrace of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Ellie cherished every moment spent with her family. Whether it was the laughter shared around the dinner table, the comforting presence during challenging times, or the simple joys of togetherness, family was the cornerstone of her happiness. Her eyes sparkled with love and pride as she watched her family grow, finding fulfillment in the achievements and milestones of each member. Ellie believed in the strength of familial bonds and fostered an environment of love, support, and understanding that will continue to resonate through the generations.
A woman of many passions, she loved playing card and board games, bowling, camping, and attending craft fairs – just to name a few. However, her true passion and talent shone through in her exquisite quilting, a hobby that brought her immense satisfaction.
Ellie was preceded in death by both her parents and is survived by her devoted husband, Pete; her loving children, Laura, Paul (Nicole), John; as well as her adored grandchildren, Ashley, Maria, Taylor, Hannah, Sean, Sydney, Madeline, and Dalton. She is also survived by her two brothers, Garrett and John, and her great grandchildren, Nash, Blair, Evie, Nico, Tatum, Aubree, and Athena.
As we bid farewell to Ellie, let us remember the radiant smiles, the warm embraces, and the enduring love that defined her connection with family. Though she may no longer walk among us, the echoes of her laughter, the wisdom of her counsel, and the love she shared remain eternally alive in our lives.
