Ernest E. "Ernie" Colebank Jr.

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Ernest “Ernie” Colebank Jr., who left this world peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 76.

A memorial service to honor Ernest’s life will be held on September 30, 2025 from 1-2:30pm at the Harry Meyering Center (109 Homestead Road, Mankato, MN 56001). Friends and loved ones are invited to gather and share in remembering Ernie.

Born on October 17, 1948, Ernie was a quiet, kind-hearted man who touched the hearts of those with whom he built lasting bonds. He was not one to seek attention, but those who knew him understood the depth of his character and the warmth he carried within.

For many years, Ernie made his home with the Harry Meyering Center, where he was part of a caring community that meant so much to him. He also spent meaningful time with Ease, where he found joy, friendship, and purpose. His connections with the people in these places were central to his life, and he touched many hearts with his kindness, patience, and ever-present smile.

Above all, Ernest was well remembered for his gentle nature and his smile. It was one of the many quiet ways he made the world around him a better place.

He is survived by those who cared for him and showed dedication in his care. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Colebank, and grandmother, Mildred Colebank.
