Evelyn Mae Wilder, age 101 of Mankato passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Ecumen Pathstone Living. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Decoria Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Evelyn and her twin sister were born in a log house in rural Mankato on November 6, 1919 to Roy and Mary (Hiersche) Davey. She graduated from high school in 1937. Evelyn married Fayette Wilder on June 24, 1939 and together they had two sons, Ross and Richard “Rick” Wilder. Evelyn worked for 14 years at Mankato State. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In Evelyn’s down time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, as well as volunteering at MRCI and Ecumen Pathstone Living.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Rick (Judy); grandchildren, Jolene Day, Doug Wilder, Barb Embacher, Glen Wilder, Melissa (Samuel) Phelps, and Mike Wilder; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and one brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ross; brothers, Fred, and Ralph; sister, Ethel Splinter.
