Gerald "Jerry" Duane Erickson

Gerald Duane Erickson, of North Mankato, died Friday, August 5, 2022, at his home at the age of 80.

A Visitation will be held on August 16 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at  Northview-North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN). In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association: https://www.alz.org/.

Gerald Duane Erickson was born January 5, 1942, to Russell and Selma (Gardalen) Erickson in Winnebago, MN. He was united in marriage to Bernita “Bernie” Caven on January 4, 1964. Jerry enjoyed crafting with his late wife, taking walks, fishing and spending time with family. 

Jerry is survived by his children, Michelle (Jon) Erickson-Goettl of Rockford, IL, Troy Erickson of North Mankato, MN and Aaron (Kendra) Erickson of Eagle Lake, MN; one brother, Jim (Melinda) Erickson of Lorain, OH; one sister, Mary (Willard) Amundson of Blue Earth, MN and two sister-in-laws, Linda (Charlie) Embacher of Mankato, MN and Irene Erickson (Michael Warner) of Shoreview, MN; nine grandchildren, Janelle and Dakota Goettl, Jake, Lauren, and Kaitlyn Erickson, Brie (Tony) Larson, Zach, Noah, and Lexi Erickson; one great-grandchild, Riley Larson and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Selma; spouse, Bernie; son, Jerry Jr.; and brother, John.
