Geraldine Howieson

Geraldine “Geri” Howieson passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, at the age of 85. Faith was always her guiding light, and she lived a life deeply rooted in beauty, centered around her profound love for her family and friends.

Geri's family was her greatest treasure, and she measured the value of life through the love she gave to those closest to her. Her warmth could be felt by anyone who saw her smile or heard her wonderful laughter. For many years, Geri worked in accounting for various local entities and dedicated her time to regional church committees. Her true passion, however, was tending to the flower beds on the farm alongside her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert Howieson. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with warmth, care, and love.

Geri was not only a dedicated family member; she was a mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She brought an "all-in" approach to everything she enjoyed, including sewing, curling, collecting Christmas Village pieces, playing in her bridge club, and flower gardening. She loved nothing more than to entertain and celebrate life while surrounded by those she loved.

She is survived by her children, Deb Eisler and Michael (Jennifer) Howieson; her grandchildren, Bob (Christina) Durn, William (Sara) Howieson, Sydney (Mark Jirak), and Isabella Howieson; and her brother, Art (Joan) Hostetler.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howieson, and her parents, Arthur Gerald and Atillie “Tillie” Hostetler.

Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary on Tuesday, October 20th, from 4:30pm-6:30pm. The Memorial Service will be held at Crossview Covenant Church in North Mankato on Wednesday, October 21st at 10am, with visitation beginning at 9am.
