Gladys (Buendorf) Carter

Gladys (Buendorf) Carter, 85, passed away with family present on February 13, in her home, after a courageous 5-year battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Gladys grew up in Alden, MN and went on to earn her bachelor degree from Mankato State College. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years she worked at Johnson Worldwide Associates until her retirement in 2020. Gladys loved watching the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Charles, son Ross (Britta) Carter and their children Abbey Carter & Evan Carter; daughter Kendra (Joe) Hinz and their daughter Kate Hinz; and son Jay Carter. Survivors include her older sister Sanny (Curt) Schneider; younger sister Carol (Steve) Pestorious; and younger brother Bob (Linda) Buendorf. Sisters in law Dorothy Denzel; Alice (Russ) Haber; and Shirley (Reid) Oberle as well as many cousins, nieces, & nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents George & Goldie Buendorf. Also, by her father and mother-in-law Mark & Lucy Carter.

Per Gladys’ wishes there will not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Foundation or End of Life Doula Collaborative (eoldc.org).
